Very friendly helpful staff and welcome us back every time. The views are awesome and the sound of the sea at night just soothes you off to sleep after a big day of walking along the wonderful Coastal Walkway. Amenities are very clean.
We have stayed here twice, both times the weather has been pretty good. The view from the room is totally stunning! Rooms look directly out onto the water with the port in view as well. Family rooms are clean, tidy, generous and well resourced. Playground is small but there are plenty of other things to do in New Plymouth.
Stayed here for one night in our rental camper in an unpowered site and it was incredible. Fantastic price especially considering how amazing the amenities were. The view was absolutely breathtaking and the staff were all friendly and helpful. 10/10 would stay again!
This place is consistently a great place to stay for out of towners any time of year. We use their cabins every now and again.
This is an awesome place to stay, the family units are big with plenty of room and the view is the best. It is a short stroll down to the pier with a nice cafe. We had a fantastic time and would love to come back. New Plymouth has heaps to offer.
Love loved the view. Great staff, all efficient. Stayed in cabin, rubbish bag, tea towel and cloth replaced. Friendly place to be,
Weather was rubbish but the camp site was fantastic, great facilities. Kids loved pedalling around and playing on the tramp when the weather allowed. Great location, well worth taking the bikes. We will definitely. Be back.
We stayed for 3 nights in our Motorhome on a cliff top site over looking the harbour and out to sea. Close to the city center, great facilities, close to the famous coastal walkway. A short drive to the museums and gardens. Small cabins are also available with great views. We would highly recommend staying here .
We loved our recent stay at Belt Road. We were looking for a place where there would be something for everyone, Belt Road ticked all the boxes. The kids could walk/ride their bikes to the local pool which was very close. The pools has the works, water slides, indoor/outdoor pools, diving boards etc. The could also bike into town and got to the mall (great if you have teens!). The views were spectacular. We loved that we could also see the port, lots to see day or night. The facilities in our part of the park were excellent, very new, clean, great showers, The park is also right next to the cycle was - I definitely recommend taking bikes. I highly recommend this holiday park.
We stayed there Mon to Fri. loved it. the view first thing in the morning was really nice. the amenities were close by and it was neat to see all the different blocks...kitchens etc. I think there was 4 but we only got as far as 3. The rooms were clean an the lovely ladies would service our cabin with clean towels and dish wash stuff. We would definitely go there again.
We come down and fish New Plymouth and will only stay here. The views of the ocean are second to none but most importantly the customer service from Peter and the team is always outstanding. 5/5 all day everyday.
Spent a few nights here in the last couple of days, experiencing the rain, the wind and even got a bit of sunshine. Still had a fantastic stay. Cracking tent site, fantastic facilities, and great company. Location is close enough to town and right on the coast providing a wonderful outlook. Certainly one of the North Islands hidden little secrets. Probably gonna have to go back for a little longer. Would recommend all accommodation options from tent sites through to the cabins. One of the places to stay to take in the light festival in Pukekura Park.
We LOVE Belt Road for so many reasons - the main being how friendly and helpful the staff are. The spot is just gorgeous and so close to everything. The whole place is clean! Like clean!! Magic elves clean!! We've stayed in most of the different sized cabins and can't fault them for price or what they offer. Belt Road is always our first choice and we stay there about 3 or 4 times a year for the past 3 years now. Highly recommend. Great for families, single or groups! Spot on Belt Road!!
Best place I have ever stayed at! Powered sites were great and with a great view of the coast! Facilities were modern and clean! There are private washrooms with a shower, sink and toilet - so you can do everything in privacy and in one go! Best place ever! - JT
Our motel room was lovely, very clean, spacious and the view was amazing! We enjoyed sitting on the deck looking out to sea. The staff are all very friendly and helpful. We will definitely be back to stay.
Friendly staff and helpful. Room was clean and tidy and very spacious, great for families. The views are amazing very handy to shops the local walk way and a short stroll to the pools. The cabins have every thing you need except you have to bring your own bedding for the children.
Just the nearest to heaven anyone will get before they shuffle off the mortal coil! Get there before it's too late! Gorgeous campsite, managed by a lovely young couple (Anna and Peter), supported by a helpful, attractive team. Sorry, but superlatives won't cover it - go see for yourself. This camp ground is set in a truly magnificent location in New Plymouth. Right beside the cliff top looking out at sea. On the map it looked as though we would have people walking past on the coastal walkway but this was well below us so didn't impact on us at all. We were given a great site overlooking the view. The campground is well designed with shrubs defining areas and giving privacy. The cabins looked really nice (parents had stayed in these before). Some are on coast front sites so I would request these ones. Of course it is easy to enjoy New Plymouth with an enjoyable walk or preferably bike ride along coastal walk to town. Bathroom facilities were pretty basic but clean.
Over New Year - The staff have the great can do anything attitude! I arrived with no booking and was fitted it.
Stayed in the Belt Road Seaside Holiday Park for the Womad music festival. What a joy to come back to each night - our spot by the sea. We cycled to the festival each day - an easy ride. Will definitely do this again next year. But please keep it a secret!
I travel NZ extensively, always stopping in units on Holiday Parks. Belt road is by far the Park with the best facilities with the cleanest unit. Good job Belt Road !!!
